March is Women’s History Month, a time to reflect on the incredible contributions of women throughout history and in our community. Here at the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, we’re thrilled to honor this month with a special event, FREE to attend: Women in Preservation: Lunch & Learn Panel.
Join us on Tuesday, March 25th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the historic Moore-Morris History and Culture Center for an inspiring and insightful panel discussion. We’ve gathered four remarkable women who are making a tangible difference in preserving the rich heritage of Williamson County:
- Bari Beasley: Our very own President + CEO, leading the charge in safeguarding our local landmarks and stories.
- Rudy Jordan: A visionary former Executive Director of the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, whose legacy continues to shape our preservation efforts.
- Alma McLemore: President of the African American Heritage Society of Williamson County, dedicated to uncovering and sharing vital narratives of our history.
- Torrey Barnhill: Executive Director of Friends of Franklin Parks, ensuring our green spaces and natural heritage are protected for future generations.
These women bring a wealth of experience and a shared passion for preserving the places and stories that define our community. They’ll share their unique perspectives, insights, and the challenges and triumphs of their work.
But that’s not all! We’re also delighted to offer a FREE lunch provided by the delightful Triple Crown Bakery, a beloved local, female-owned business. Enjoy delicious treats while engaging in meaningful conversation.
Don’t miss this chance to celebrate Women’s History Month and honor the women who are working tirelessly to preserve the heart and soul of our community.
