This year, Jackson is the presenting sponsor of the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, TN’s 35th Annual Pumpkinfest. It’s our first year to partner with Jackson on a festival, but the company has been involved with communities across the United States and in Franklin, TN for decades. Specifically, Jackson has been the presenting sponsor of The Franklin Theatre, a division of the Heritage Foundation, since 2012. The financial freedom advocate began its partnership with the Theatre shortly after its reopening in 2011. Our organizations share a core interest in enhancing the quality of life in our community.
CEO of the Heritage Foundation Bari Beasley explained, “We would not be able to produce downtown Franklin’s iconic festivals like Pumpkinfest without our presenting sponsors. These festivals are a hallmark of our community and contribute to the county’s cultural identity. This year, Jackson has stepped up to support Pumpkinfest; First Citizens National Bank is sponsoring Dickens of a Christmas, and our longest running sponsor, First Tennessee, presented Main Street Festival back in the spring. Jackson’s focus on strengthening families and increasing economic opportunities locally is incredible. We’re so pleased to have them involved with our organization.”
Attendees at this year’s Pumpkinfest can look forward to receiving Jackson-branded reusable bags (while supplies last) to use during trick-or-treat around the festival! Jackson representatives from their Franklin headquarters will also be present to help judge the costume contests and participate in other activities.
Likewise, the relationship between The Franklin Theatre and Jackson is a unique opportunity that puts Jackson’s resources to work alongside the Theatre’s mission to create memorable experiences–ones that entertain, inspire, enrich and connect our community within one of America’s great showplaces. Over 80,000 patrons each year through hundreds of events are touched by Jackson’s generosity.
Executive Director of The Franklin Theatre Dan Hays claimed, “The Franklin Theatre is blessed to be surrounded by a uniquely generous community that understood the need to save it but also to invest in bringing our programming to life each day. Jackson National Life Insurance Company sets a special example in the leadership role that allows us to bring scores of talents to the theater you wouldn’t expect to see in such an intimate space. They also multiply their investment by supporting other non-profits who host successful events each year that ripple through our community. We are most grateful and blessed they’re our neighbors!”
In addition, the Theatre has helped raise over $5 million for area charities since reopening in 2011. Jackson’s investment helps all such events as it helps keep the fees affordable for anyone using the space, and additionally, they also support a variety of charity events directly each year. Some of the recent, local non-profits that have received support include:
- Best Buddies
- Davis House Child Advocacy
- FiftyForward Martin Center
- Franklin Tomorrow
- High Hopes Development Center
- Legacy Mission Village
- Nashville Opera
- Williamson County CASA
- Williamson County Schools
Jackson not only supports local communities, but nationally, the Jackson Charitable Foundation invests in collaborative, impactful initiatives that increase financial knowledge for Americans.
