Leanne Portzel

As the Chief of Staff at the Heritage Foundation, Leanne Portzel plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization’s divisions operate cohesively and effectively in pursuit of their mission.

One of Leanne’s fondest memories at the Heritage Foundation was witnessing the excitement of former Lee-Buckner Rosenwald School students as they watched their old schoolhouse arrive at our Franklin Grove Estate & Gardens property under the cover of night. This moment encapsulated our commitment to preserving history and fostering community engagement, something Leanne deeply values.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Leanne indulges her curiosity by immersing herself in literature and exploring new languages—a testament to her lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth.

Williamson County holds a special place in Leanne’s heart. From the warmth of its people to the close-knit sense of community and the scenic views of her countryside commute, Leanne finds solace and inspiration in the beauty and interconnectedness of her surroundings.
