Heidi Hood is the Managing Director of the Downtown Franklin Association (DFA), where she spearheads Main Street America programming and advocates for economic vitality within the framework of historic preservation. Since joining our team in March 2021, Heidi has been instrumental in driving significant growth and fostering a collaborative environment within the community.

One of Heidi’s proudest achievements is more than doubling the DFA membership in less than a year and successfully advocating for the establishment of a special historic tax district to support small business owners—an endeavor that garnered strong support from the county commission.

Outside of work, Heidi finds solace in hiking, reading, writing, and spending time with her Pyrenees Husky.

For Heidi, the most fulfilling aspect of her role is witnessing small businesses in downtown Franklin collaborate and thrive, cultivating a sense of community that makes the area a desirable place to live and work.
