Flat Abram Adventure

Where in the World is Abram Maury?

This Spring Break, take the Founder of Franklin on your next big adventure! Before there were airports, highways, or even the Tennessee state lines we know today, there was Abram Maury. In 1799, Abram moved to this area and laid out the very first plans for the Franklin Town Square.

Now, over 225 years later, we want to show him how much Middle Tennessee (and the rest of the world!) has changed. Inspired by the classic "Flat Stanley" project, #FlatAbram is your ticket to bringing local history along on your Spring Break travels.

How to Join the Adventure

2. Get Crafty: Cut him out and grab a "handle"—a popsicle stick, coffee stirrer, or even a plastic spoon will do!
3. Explore & Snap: Take Abram with you to the beach, the mountains, grandma’s house, or even just your favorite local park.
4. Tag & Share: Post your photo on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #FlatAbram.

The Best Part: We’ll be sharing our favorite traveler photos on the Moore-Morris History & Culture Center social pages all month long!
