We will be reading A Tree is Nice (1956), a classic 1956 children’s picture book by Janice May Udry, illustrated by Marc Simont, that won the Caldecott Medal in 1957 for its simple, poetic celebration of trees and their many uses, from providing shade and a place for swings to being a home for birds.

Plus, every registered child will take home their own copy of A Tree is Nice!
