Activity: Lifesize Map + Historic Dollhouse Tour with Post-Field Trip activity for the classroom

THIRD GRADE FIELD TRIP: PATHWAYS OF THE PAST - DISCOVERING NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE
Summary: Native American history comes to life with storytelling, songs, and the Northern Plains grass dance. This field trip will highlight the diversity of Indigenous cultures, focusing on unity, honor, and community, while inviting audiences to reflect on cultural identity. We will close with a round dance, welcoming all to join in friendship and connection.
FOURTH GRADE FIELD TRIP: Problems and Solutions - The Impact of the Industrial Revolution
Activity: Thoughtful discussion and “See, Think, Wonder” Stations with Post-Field Trip activity for the classroom
Summary: All aboard as we travel back in time to a place of innovation, creativity, and problem-solving: The American Industrial Revolution.
FIFTH - TWELTH GRADE FIELD TRIP: ENGAGING PRIVATE TOURS
Summary: Students will step back in time as we enter the experience room where we will transport to the quaint and warm lobby of White’s Tavern in 1803. Students will be greeted by their host, Benjamin White, as he introduces them to a few of his friends that are in town for the evening.

Field Trip FAQs
Does the entire program take place at the Center?
Yes, all of our programming takes place inside of the Moore-Morris History and Culture Center (108 Bridge Street, Franklin, TN).
Are there room for buses to park on-site?
Yes, there is ample space in our private parking lot for buses and shuttles to park on-site.
What are the typical times of field trips?
- Kindergarten-4th Grade Field Trips take place between 9:00am-11:00am
- 5th-12th Grade Field Trips take place between 9:00am-10:30am
What is the price of the field trip?
- Student tickets are $5.00/person
- Chaperone tickets are $8.00/person
- Teachers are FREE
Are your field trips aligned with TN State Standards?
Yes, we have worked diligently with our local school districts to create meaningful learning experiences that directly support your work in the classroom.
What if I have a mix of grade levels?
We welcome all ages in each our field trips, the grades are simply a suggestion and guide to the depth of the material covered during your time with us.
How do I book a field trip for my students?

Will my K-4th grade students be able to see the exhibit space?
Yes, we will do an abbreviated version of the tour while group one is in the program.
What is the capacity for field trips?
Capacity for field trips is 60 students. Schools with multiple classes, are encouraged to book (2) classes at a time.
