Just over a year ago, we marked a monumental moment in preserving local Black history with the relocation of the Lee-Buckner Rosenwald School to our Franklin Grove Estate & Gardens property. This school, a beacon of hope and opportunity for generations of African American students in Williamson County, stands as a powerful symbol of resilience and community spirit. From the visionaries who established it to the dedicated individuals who worked tirelessly to save it, the Lee-Buckner School’s story is one of perseverance and the enduring power of education.
This month, we’re also excited to invite you to a special event at the Moore-Morris History and Culture Center, a place dedicated to exploring the diverse stories that shape our region.
YOU’RE INVITED!
Join us for an inspiring evening at the Moore-Morris History and Culture Center as we partner with the African American Heritage Society of Williamson County to honor the legacy of Sgt. These individuals faced incredible challenges with courage and determination, leaving behind a legacy of service that continues to inspire us. We believe that by sharing these stories, we can foster a deeper understanding of our shared history and build a stronger, more united community.
