BE PART OF THE STORY – BECOME A MEMBER

A dedicated group of individuals met to form the Heritage Foundation in 1967 with the common goal of saving the places in Williamson County that matter. Fifty-five years later, the Heritage Foundation is supported by individual, family and corporate members. Ever committed to preserving the communities and cultural heritage of Williamson County, we work with our members to continually care for historic spaces, treasured landmarks, and cherished local businesses. In short, we are only able to do our work of saving the places and stories that matter in Williamson County with their devoted support.

Why Membership Matters

Members provide essential financial support and strengthen our ability to keep Williamson County one of the most charming and inspiring places to live and work. Our work is vital to sustaining the quality of life here, and these are just a few of the many ways your membership is at work in the community:

  • Festivals: Continuing the tradition of our beloved annual Main Street Festival, PumpkinFest, and Dickens of a Christmas
  • The Franklin Theatre: Movies, live concerts and performing arts, and nonprofit special events
  • Preservation: Seeding public interest and sparking preservation advocacy for the historical significance of the County's buildings and sites now and in the future
  • Education: Making our informative and fun Warwick Lecture Series, Preservation Symposium, Practical Preservation Series, and Educators Institute available to the community
  • Green Space: Acting as the bridge between the worlds of development and preservation – advocating for and protecting that which cannot be replaced, while championing preservation-minded concerns
  • History & Culture Center: Coming soon – Williamson County’s first permanent, interactive exhibition space dedicated to telling its county-wide history
  • Franklin Grove Estate & Gardens: Coming in 2025 – a beloved property being transformed to host a Museum of Art, Natural Gardens, Lee Buckner Rosenwald School, and Innovation Center

Membership truly matters.  Thank you for giving back to the place you love.
