Volunteer

For more than 57 years, the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County has been an integral part of the fabric of Williamson County. Saving places that matter such as the Franklin Theatre, the Old Old Jail (now the Lehew Magid Big House for Historic Preservation), the O’More School of Design now called Franklin Grove Estate & Gardens and most recently, McConnell House now called the Moore-Morris History and Culture Center.

We are known for our amazing events; Main Street Festival, the Heritage Ball, PumpkinFest and Dickens of a Christmas, but none of these would be as wonderful as they are without the thousands of hours given by volunteers.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

  • The Franklin Theatre (Ushers and ticket takers)
  • Moore-Morris History and Culture Center (Center docents)
  • Heritage Foundation business office (mailings and database projects)
  • Franklin Locals (concierge on the streets/locals who can direct visitors who are on Main Street)
  • Our signature downtown Franklin festivals (2-hour time-slots for a variety of festival roles)

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please reach out to Heather Kantor, Director of Data Services and Volunteers – hkantor@williamsonheritage.org for an application and more information.
