Anna Marcum

Anna Marcum serves as the Senior Director of Preservation at the Heritage Foundation, where she oversees all historic preservation research, projects, and advocacy efforts.

Since joining the Heritage Foundation in February, Anna has made a lasting impact on the organization’s mission. Her dedication and passion were evident from day one, particularly during the relocation of the Lee-Buckner Rosenwald School to the Franklin Grove Estate & Gardens property—an experience that underscored the profound connection between historic preservation and community building.

A highlight of Anna’s work is driving through the picturesque countryside of Williamson County, admiring the dry stack stone walls that dot the landscape near historic downtowns—a visual reminder of the area’s rich history and cultural heritage.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Anna leads a vibrant life filled with diverse interests and hobbies. An avid explorer of museums and cultural sites, Anna also finds solace in perfecting her pilates technique and doting on her beloved cat, Baby J.
