The Downtown Franklin Association (DFA) hosted its Downtown Franklin Association Awards ceremony, presented by Lineage Bank, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at The Franklin Theatre.
In addition to supporting downtown Franklin businesses through its Main Street America® accreditation and programming, the Downtown Franklin Association serves its members in special ways throughout the year. The ballot of nominees for the DFA Annual Awards consisted of current DFA members and was voted on by the public during the month of January. 
The public was encouraged to vote with the following criteria in mind:
- That the business or organization demonstrate outstanding service,
- Show fulfillment of a clear mission and vision,
- Offer unique and high-quality products or services,
- Create memorable customer or client / guest experiences,
- Demonstrate excellent care for health and safety, and
- Invest in the community by giving back
The event announcing the winners was attended by over one hundred guests, touting food sponsored by Waldo’s Chicken and Beer, wine by Saint Goose Wine, dessert by Kilwins and Merridee’s Breadbasket, entertainment by Goodness Gracious Creative Entertainment, and live painting by local artist Shen.
“This is such a fun time for our members, and we love seeing the public show their support,” says Managing Director, Heidi Hood. “It was a great night, always rewarding to show appreciation to our downtown business community in this way.”
