The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, TN is now accepting nominations for its 50th Annual Preservation Awards, which serve to celebrate outstanding historic preservation projects in Franklin and Williamson County. The award categories recognize the vision of those who help the Foundation protect and preserve historic structures.  They include both residential and commercial rehabilitations, conservation easements, and new construction projects that complement the historic character of the community.

Winners are announced each May at the non-profit’s yearly member meeting, which falls during National Historic Preservation Month. The overall winner of the 2017 Preservation Award was White’s Mercantile. It underwent a full historic restoration to return to its original 1893 façade. The residential winner was the Bond Farm House, a home built circa 1900 that has been in the same family since 1934. CEO Bari Beasley said, “We look forward to hosting the annual meeting in May and also to celebrating the preservation work in Williamson County.”  Nomination forms are due by April 6. Please submit your nomination forms to Annabeth Hayes at ahayes@williamsonheritage.org or to Annabeth Hayes, Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, TN, PO Box 723, Franklin, TN 37065
